After being on this forum for the past month, I noticed alot of new MINI owners were signing up and I'm sure the rest of you are sick of seeing them :stickoutt

so I'll keep my intro thread short and sweet.

My name is konky, I drive a 04 black MCS and 01 silver Passat, I'm married and have a 2 year old, my day job is a graphic designer, and I like to shoot photos as a hobby... oh and i like porn.

Nice, I think I remember seeing your name on various awesome pics on Vortex and other websites. How reliable are these Mini's? I was thinking of getting the wife a clubman for Christmas but have heard horror stories about transmission problems and oil leaks.

The MINI is pretty reliable, I've owned it since new 5 years ago with little to no problems. I think the horror trans problems you hear about are from the early 2002-03 models (especially the automatics)

and for the wheels, yep they're off an Alfa, (Zender Milano's), They're actually sold and I'm still searching for my new set for this coming spring. I'm a wheel whore, and tend to switch it up every season.

i miss my my mcs work too

I had many small electronics issues (windows,locks, auto ac), got a scared and sold it before it hit 50,000, glad you hadn't had any major problems

....simialar to yours black on black ...i got all the plastic painted (except jc works aero / tein coilover / volk gt-7 18x8 on falken 215/35/18)

if the damn economy (im in sales) pick i might pick up another as a second fun car..

its a blast to drive!!!!
