  • Subaru CV rubbing issue

Is anyone else having this problem?? I'm running JICs coil-overs and the damper adjustment is on the bottom of the coil-over. Now because I'm pretty low in front the knob rubbed and ripped my CV boot open.....I didn't notice this till a few weeks ago. Has anyone else experienced this??

Has anyone been able to figure out a way to actually raise there front coil-over body to allow for more room. Almost in away raising the strut tower.Maybe getting new coil-overs would be easier, lol.

    HELP

you're basically fucked lol. the picture in my avatar ripped 2 cv boots at the same time.

and that was with BC coilovers. the issue is in the fact that you can only drop the spring so much but, you can try removing collars, and then drop the spring as far as it can go. I'm not sure what the jic look like.

but to be slammed, I had to remove 2 collars, and drop the spring on my BCs.

      ^Exactly what he said.
Seeing as your damper adjustment is on the bottom, you're especially fucked.

I suppose you could try drooping the spring, where you take almost all the pre-load out of the spring. That should allow your car to drop a little more, without actually spinning down the strut body.
But after that, your pretty much maxed out.

So selling those and buying others might be a better bet. haha

          kamagra soft

I will keep using Kamagra Soft. I am well into my 60s and your Cialis gave me what I lost: long lasting erection and delights of youth. My order arrived within 5 days in good condition. I received my medicine in time and I think that this is a sign of responsibility and professionalism. cialis soft Thanks for such a good service and a great product.

I did this to my car to make room. Maybe it will work for your car.

While it looked much better than it did I still wanted to bring it down a little more. but I had to move some "stuff" to make it fit.

Since I had spun the coilovers down so much, they were pretty close to the CV boots and in order to go lower I would need to fix that. Here is what it looked like:

So what I did was loosen the metal clamp and move the end of the boot closer to the CV joint itself and re-clamp it with a tool I brought home from work. It now looks like this on both sides:

Still plenty of room before the cv boots hit stuff. That pic was taken after spinning them down a little over a 1/4 of an inch.

Here is what it looks like now, quick iPhone pic:

                The Kia has been parted.
