  • my mark 4 golf.

hi again everyone. Just sticking some of my build threads up. im copying these from another forum so some of it may be a bit muddled. lol

    anyway, here goes: -

too many plans, tidy it up a bit change the wheels and put it on its hole. better pics up tomorrow before i go on holidays

    wheels on and coilovers in.

should be gettin the roof lining and interior panels retrimmed soon.

as looking to go lower but even with spacers on the rim was still rubbing on the coilover.

bit of footering with the top mounts and now its around half an inch lower.

lowered the rear a bit more too but was too low so suck it back up a bit.

    C+C appreciated

was sitting like this after i lowered the back

then put it up a bit and sitting like this now

still want the front down a bit more and the rear a bit more too but have to take the damper spring out and that will give me and extra inch-inch and half. sump and gearbox are scored in :censored:e already. lol

sister got a new camera so got her to take a few pics yesterday.

    havent updated in a while.

have since sold the rs6's. have my new wheels ordered and decided to buy more bits for an air ride kit. also, the rear quarters were in bad nick and paint flaking on the back bumper so decided i would tidy the whole lot up. doing it in two halfs as i need the car. so doing the back half this weekend. heres how i started this evening.

always nice to find original quarters and rear panels.

    few more updates soon.

everything in primer now. will be painted tomorrow and built tomorrow night.

    comments appreciated.

heres the passenger side quarter before

Definitely seen this before, Jon44w? maybe?

also when you said you were going to "put it on its hole" sort of rang a bell.

to be honest it did look abit feltspec, not that it's a bad thing, but now with the merc wheels looks the absolute ticket. love the car.
