I damaged a roof today. I'm fine though, didn't hurt myself while doing this.

I work as a phone technican, and today I had to install a cable that ran along the roof of a warehouse and ended right upon a little 5x5m room in one corner, the room was about 2m high and had a roof. I had to fix the cable to the wall, so I had to get up there somehow, so I got a guy to lift me up there with a forklift and a pallet. Yeah, I know quite unsafe, but on with the story, lol.

So I step onto the edge of the roof - all is fine. I go one step further onto the roof and BAM! There I am, stuck halfway in the roof with one leg because the roof broke away under me.
It was some kind of material called "Rigips", don't know if you guys have it over the pond as well, I guess you do but maybe with a different name? Anyways, I didn't know it was that kind of thin material, and didn'T bother to check as the roof was stacked full with crates so I thought it would hold me.

i had to work over today to the tune of 12 hours. i had to clean the 6foot long aluminum baskets that the company i work for product is shipped out in (over a thousand of them cleaning 5 pallets at a time) so i have to unload them of the pallets, lay them out on the concerte, spray them with a pressure washer, spray them with lum-brite which is a acid that cleans specifically aluminum, then wash them off with said pressure washer, then load them back up 18 to a pallet, and then start again. It FVCKIN SUCKS!!!! so the sprayer i was using to spray for-mentioned ACID started spewing all over my leg and soaked into my sock. so for 4 to 5 hours my foot felt like it was on fire and i didnt have a chance to wash it off because i am so rushed to get these done. plus it was really hot outside. FML FML FML

but i'm savin up for a dslr because i think i want to become a photagrapher. i mean i look at the pics that mike takes and Imraan (M3NoDRFT), and its soo cool to me how they can make a picture look so damn good and thats awesome to me. so yeah ha

I work as a phone technican and as a result got pretty interested in the phone technology from the past, so I was stoked when I found three old phones in the storage room of one of our buildings.

I took them home and made them compatible to today's phone plugs and they work flawlessly. The red one is my new daily phone now, the others await heavy cleaning.

I was in the Netherlands today at the M.I.V.W. show. Apparently the biggest VW event in NL, it was fucking amazing! So many awesome cars, such a great location... easily the best show I've been to this year, even though the weather was really poor.

I'm starting to get back in the habit of working out.

When to a couple of cool parties the last few nights, and the cops didn't bother me.

I still have a job even though my hours are limited to 22-26 hours a week.

I got a surprise day off yesterday which was nice!



The only bad thing that happened was on the way to the mentioned party last night, my passenger side mirror cover fell off with out me noticing! Oh well, time for some M3 mirrors :D

Well, I might ditch the stanced RX-8 plan. I'm just itching to get rid of my current car before its too late. Its an '07 Cobalt SS, and while I love the car to death, its got 65k on it, and being as GM is already in a shitty situation, I wanna ditch it before ALL of its value has tanked. I went into town this morning for breakfast at the local diner, and across the street there is a smaller peronally owned but well accredited dealership. While eating I noticed a cherry SRT-4 out front and decided to go give it a look. They want $15,900 which seems high, but i'm going in tomorrow to talk to them about it. Only 42k on it which is great for an '05, its red, red painted calipers (dont know if they came that way or not), and appears to be completely stock. Trunk has been de-badged, but thats about the only "un-stock" seeming thing about it. Of course i'll need to peep under the hood because I DO NOT want to buy a pre-modded SRT-4, b/c as we all know, SRT-4 owners are the biggest group of car molesting douschebags out there. No ****, I know alot of good guys with them....but they all rag the poor cars out. I mean i'd MUCH rather do my RX-8 plan, which included J-Lines, JIC coilovers, mad stretch/camber, Chargespeed bottom line lip kit, etc etc.........but I just can't pass up the oppritunity to score on a seemingly un-molested, low mileage, local SRT-4. I'm going to talk numbers tomorrow, and if I can get it, i'll prob take it home Sat. Gotta strip some things off the SS to sell first. And plans for the SRT-4 would be relatively mild b/c until I obtain a cheap daily, the SRT will serve as the daily. Last night was a friend's birthday dinner so got some tickets for an upcoming concert. Happy to drive the 1 hour to his house becuase I found a new celtec/gaul Melodic Death Metal band...(See Link Below). Drove the hour blasting it and enjoying the vert.

Park, go to dinner in another persons car and get back to their house. Hang around and then decide to leave. Fire up car and all I get is bass Check trunk and the light on the Alpine MRP-F250 is off. My friend had just thrown some bags in there so I assume he might have hit it. Fuses are blown.

Disconnect battery, put in fuses. Undo all connections to confirm nothing is touching. Put the battery back on and uh oh... fog machine is let loose in the trunk! Lots of smoke and not much music. No blue light on the amp either... friend freaks out(haha) and I disconnect it. I drive a long, boring 1 hour with no music The Rainbows don't sound very good with 0W RMS Still have my bass though! haha

Time to do some 6.5 drivers in the old girl and more power?

Maybe the new jams blew the amp up? M3 has our Stage 1 so all is not lost! I can drive that right now!

The same thing is happening to a lot of my brothers friends who graduated last year. They are going back to school to get their masters, just like everybody else.

Whenever this shit economy finally settles down there is going to be a ton of over qualified people with no experience still looking for jobs. I would see if you could even find an internship or something. This would probably be your best bet in the long run, as it seems nobody can afford to hirer somebody they are going to have to train.

My sister graduated from The University of William & Mary in 2004 with a bachelors in psychology.......its now 2009.......she never found a job to utilize her degree.......and currently works for Capital One.......making not much more than me.......and I only did a year of community college and I don't have a degree.

Its rough man. To be honest, i'm kinda glad I stopped college when I did. I didn't do it by choice. I stopped b/c I was paying for it myself (i'm not some spoiled brat who lived with his rents until he was 25 and had mommy/daddy pay for his car/college education, and im damn proud of that) and my rents moved away b/c my dad's job went south, so I had to get a place of my own, on top of my car payment, insurance, cell phone, credit card bills, bank loans, etc etc. I'm now a Retention Specialist for Comcast, which isn't a bad gig if you don't mind customer service. I'm good at it, the pay is decent, and its not too far from where I live. I am EVENTUALLY going to go back to school to pursue a marketing degree, and Comcast will reimburse me for everything once I obtain the degree. Comcast has a really big marketing department, so I eventually want to start @ marketing in for Comcast, and if a better marketing position presents itself to me years down the road, then so be it.

Class. Possibly the most boring thing I have ever experienced, haha I slept through the class (10 hours for VA) and got a perfect score on the test we took at the end of the class. Also, since it was the first time I had ever been pulled over, the judge was real lenient and had me write a 5 page paper on consequences of speeding. Super gay, but it got the job done haha basically it helps if you show the judge you understand that it was a mistake and show him that you're taking it seriously.

My never hurt either, I had a cavity on each of them so I had them pulled instead of filled.

I install telephone and internet stuff at the customers places. My phone rings, a co-worker is on it, telling me to come rescue him, because he locked himself into a customers cellar and can't reach the customer because he is a few floors up and the telephone has not yet been installed up there and he doesn't have a cell number of the customer, LOL.

Definately sorry to hear man. I know how it feels. I've lost 3 of my 4 grandparents. It is definately tough. Also came REAL close to losing my dad last year. I just brought him home last week from his heart transplant surgery which thankfully went really well.

Guess my "bad day" was going to sleep last night feeling like I was freezing only to wake up a few hours later in a sweat. I must have something and my fever broke. I still woke up this morning with a 100.5 temp and still have 100.0 temp now. Being sick SUCKS!:(

So today i was installing insulation in some guys roof today. Well i finally get up there after the dumb ass had me explain how i actually get in the roof.
I discovered that he must have had a rat infestation at one point because there were atleast 30 dead rats lying around which was so dam gross. And to top things off my mate that i had working for me accidentally fell through the ceiling and smashed there tv:rofl. Was more funny that bad because he ate shit.
Now im just waiting for the repair bill for the tv.
