Yet another forum with their own tire fitment guide!
Feel free to post up your wheel/tire combinations so that everyone can get a good idea as to how a certain tire may fit on a certain width wheel.

It's best to include the tire size, as well as the brand, since some tires fit differently than others.

I'll add your fitment to this post so that everything is easy to find.

Somebody brought up a good question that I'd never thought about (but feel stupid that I never did). The question was how much tire pressure do you guys run.

I'm going to get some stretch going on a set of 8.5s so this is pretty relevant to my interests

Just got a set of OZ Racing Monte Carlo wheels for a steal, Size 18x8.5 +45.

Looking to be different and try to flush it out on my 08 scion xB. Plans are to run Ichiba version 2 spacers front(15mm) and rear (20mm)

Hi! I want to by an e46 m3 rim for my e36 320i. I dont know if the rim will work perfekt without the modification on the fender etc..., on the car. There isnt any e46 m3 rims near here, so i cant try it on. The rims are 8JX18 ET/IS:47 9JX18 ET/IS:26 . I want to put 225/40 r18 tyres on

Yes, but offset is critical.I think you probably meant to say you want to put 8.5" wide wheels in front, and 9.5 in the rear.The sedan didn't come with a staggered setup, but it CAN be done.Make SURE you get the offsets for both front and rear wheels, and then check in here.

17x8 is a super-duper lame size to stretch on. Smallest available in North America is 205/40.

8.5 w/ 205/40 (on the right)
8 was barely stretched- lip poked a tiny bit past the rim protector. 8.5 had a bit more of the lip poke, but very slight sidewall angle. 9" would have been magic.
However, those Wanli tires are built wide. A tire like a ZE-512 or Fuzion ZRi would have looked like the 8.5 on the 8, and like a 9 on the 8.5.

that will be not be that noticeable, i would recommend to swap the tire out for some that is know to run small, like falken 452, tho toyo makes 205/35.

Yeah I currently have Federal SS595's which run wide and dont stretch well anyways. I figured going from those to some 512's would be good. Just looking for pics of something on an 8.

My suspension's pretty stiff too so I still want to keep some tire on the wheels

the wheels are keskin kt1's

16x9 all around
+15 rear
+25 front; i added 5mm spacers to make it +20 and flush
tires are 205/40/16 Hankook Ventus hrii

great for my car because it gives just enough room in the wheel wells. and isnt beyond the point of crazy stretch. a very clean/standard stretch for a DD as is my car

I need some help guys.
I'm wanting a 215/40/17 falken 512 on my 17x9.75 but the shop is telling me this is impossible. I've seen plenty of more aggressive stretches than this with different tires. But since the 512s run small is it impossible or do they just not know what they're doing?

Well it's not that I don't think, they just said they couldn't fit the 215/40 I needed to go with a larger tire. So I had them try and 215/45 and they got that done fine. I test fit this 45 and it doesn't look how I wanted it to as rubs too much. A 215/40/17 falken 512 on a 17x9.75 is definitely possible? I just need to tell them I want the 40s and take it elsewhere?

Wasup girl and guys, I just got a set of steelies widened and was wandering what's the best tyre size to chuck on them! I don't want too much stretch (no homo) because over here in NZ you can't have any stretch and the tyres can't be out of the guard unless you roll them....so fuckin' gay. Anyway, I wana stretch them but not too over the top. any suggestions? Cheers.

215/40-17 Falken ZIEX ZE-912 on 9,5x17.
I know it's miles between the outer lip and wheel arch! Will be fitted with a 1" wider lip, so they become 10,5x17. Think that will be perfect.
Can't cheat by using spacers! :D

Don't mind about the soap-bubbles. It was leaking air, and I needed to find out where. It's fixed now. :alright

how did you fixed the leaking air? i had same problem and i had to put some pressure at 1-2weeks intervals to keep 2.5-2.8bar

well, I hope this could help. 225 40 R18, on 9,5", 9.75" and 10" wheels.

Advertise: there is no problems on 9,5 and 9.75, but on 10" the tyres were leaking air..

Hey guys, im completely new to stretching tires. i would love to get a quick review of what tires are best to stretch, also id like to know the best prices too (roughly). I bought mark 4 rims for my mark 3 golf. Turns out that the tire is too thick, and its rubbing against the suspension. So the thought occurred to me that i could possibly buy new tires (since the tire on them are crap any ways) and stretch them. Now i don't know what tires i should use, but Ive been reading a little bit. I heard the falken 512's are pretty good. The current tire size is 215/55/16 and i believe the rims is 8 inches wide. I was thinking about using 205/45/16? are there any other suggestions? thanks in advance!

Here is 225/35/19 on a 9. I certainly would not do 215... 225 is some what of a rough ride, but the A6 is a heavy car.

I had the same tires in 205/40 mounted on a 16x9.5 and damn they did not hold air even though that's not even much of a stretch.
I got flats with all 4 of them.

Well I've only driven it across town since they went on, but they've been holding air for two weeks or whatever it's been. My wheels are perfect and it's not much of a stretch so I don't see it being a problem.

At first I wanted 225/40/17 but I wasn't able to find anything since they are discontinued. So my other choice was a 215/40/17 that run wide. Federal 595ss were B/O for 8 weeks. I knew dirreza star spec run wide and yokohama S-drive too. I choose S-drive cause the treadwear is higher and they are a little bit cheaper too. Here is the result on a 17x10.

I need some help with my next tire selection.

So im running Kumho Ecsta LE sports 225 40s on my 18x10s.

And I tried going down to a Dunlop Direzza DZ101, 215 35 and the guys at my friends shop just couldn't get the bead to seat. They got a cheetah too.

Any recommendations on what tires that can stretch well on a 18x10 thats a 215 35? I dont want feddys or nankangs, no hella cheap tires. Please.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in, but anyways :

What about stretching "soft sidewall" tires? To be precise, want to stretch winter tires 195/60 on 9.5J wide wheel. Of course it will look way more ghay than a low profile tire, but what about handling ? Still the stretch should stiffen (?) the sidewalls, right ?

Anyone have some 235/40/17 on a 9.5" wheel... if so please list tire brand im trying ti fit 9.5's all around with 245/40/17 on 9.5 rear and i know that will fit but i want to keep the car low.... and fit 9.5's upfront
