The wheels are 16x9 but I run 16x7.5 on the front when on track days as the 9's tend to rub under enthusiastic cornering and aqua plane in the wet.

Yup that's correct. Runs well with the 9's on all round but it is more like a boat in the wet than a car hence staggering the wheels with the 7.5's as well.
