  • ))) Help! How to roll my e46 fenders? (((

Hi guys! i don't have a fender roller and i need to roll my fenders for this week, I don't know anybody that have one neither. I have a bmw e46, theres another way of doing it without the fender roller?

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

baseball bat or anything of that sort and a torch.

heat up the metal & paint just enough to make it easier to roll out, not hot enough to f up the paint.

and just roll it back and forth.

simple, hahah i have seen many people do this, Idk if i would do it but you do what you gotta do.

Just cut the rear fender lips out, rear fenders are strong enough.

If you don't want to do that, get a baseball bat, and a heat gun. Or a heat gun and a rubber mallet. There are so many ways to do it.

rear fenders really arent strong enough in most damp places. only way to do that right is to cut the lips, weld them back and repaint the quarters. there is a good shot of the fenders splitting if not. especially if youre rubbing

I bought a car with fenders done with a jack handle. I bought the car at night. I wanted to drown myself (and/or be struck by lighting) when I saw the car in the light the next day.

also, e46s have some rubber coating inside the fender. to get a full roll, that needs to come out and it's a PITA. i roll a lot of fenders and a roller is key to getting good results. you can rent one here: http://www.rollyourfender.com/index.html
