budget build '86 golf gti

Getting a stock 1986 golf gti soon, looking at these JOM coilovers http://store.blackforestindustries.c...mk3cojomc.html. Would these do the trick or should i skimp somewhere else on the car to afford a set of a known coilovers. And would this feed my cravings for ground scraping lowness? Anything else I'd need?

heard mixed things about the JOM coils for mk2 and 3 VWs. one person was super happy and the other had them blow in a few months. guess that's the risk with coils like this.

they do go plenty low, though.
