So i'm sure some people have seen this thing with people putting the wire wheels like daytons and such on there cars....what are your opinions?

I feel on the right car witht he proper stance it would look pritty damn good.

Personally I'm not a fan. Just doesn't mix with the car. I think they belong on impalas. I don't mean that in a bad way... If I had an impala, I'd put daytons on it. :)

Thats why i said on the right car with the proper stance...the right car now being a Euro.

If they flow with the lines of the car - i.e. a sleek, classic car they fit well - however they don't suit more modern euros at all.

Its not really a new trend. I've seen certain dub guys try it for years. Everyone and a while someone gives it a go. Personally i'll pass.

I wouldn't rock daytons on ANYTHING. But then again I'm not ghetto fabulous either. And I actually own a 95 Impala SS.

Well the problem being i cant make them work on the e30, et's are way to high, and lips i just cant afford to buy right now @ 300 a pop and having them shipped from germany, then have to wait 2-4 months for them. But you know if anyone wanted the gotti's i would be intersted in a trade, which is why they are in the classifieds....:D

we rocked daytons on a mk2 jetta for an afternoon and thought it was funny as shit (we found a set of wheels that had the adapters for 4x100 in the bushes behind my buddies maxi-space haha)... but in all seriousness it looked awful... and i dont even know if i would rock them on an impala...

i think it's the actual knock off that drew me to them, i dont like those ones as they loook like the blade or what not. On the others they have that spike and i thought that was kinda slick.

i don't know guys.. come on.. white kid in a bimmer with wire rims and a cholo sticker??? he just needs a naked chick airbrushed on the hood and he's set  here in SoCal i would think you'd get laughed at not only by the mexicans but also by the other bimmer owners, but to each his own. personally i feel like that style is a big time fail

the 5-7 years the scene is getting very departmentalized. you have your honda boys, you have your evo/sti crowd. you have the G/Z community. the euro BMW crowd. the MKV crowd. then within each group new "styles" pop up so each car can be different. before you know it you have a handfull of peeps doing it.

No thanks. I found a set on CL locally, thought about it for about 2.3497 seconds, then realized how much my car would make me look like a drug dealer from the North Side of Pittsburgh.

Definitely nothing current euro, and pretty much nothing Vdub. They definitely have their place however.
