Do you guys have a kit for an e28 (1985 BMW 535i)? I'm a newb to air and want to know how big of an investment it costs before I spend any more money on new suspension.

Also curious. I have an E24, but the suspension is identical to an E28.

I have an 02 wrx wagon. I checked out the thread on the 05 wrx you guys made a kit for. I'm looking to lay frame. I'm not new to airride, I currently have a 97 silverado I bagged on 22s about 4 years ago. But I've lost interest in the truck and the wrx has been my daily for almost 4 years and now its the wrx's turn for modifications. Do you make a strut kit for them?

There are kits in development right now. It will probably be about another month until they're done but we're taking down payments. We are also looking at another option right now from a company in Poland who's using struts with fully threaded bodies.

They will be in the range from 1600 to 1800 for the struts and the management starts at 595 and goes up from there depending on what options you're looking for.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if the car will lay subframe or not since we haven't sold this setup yet but I'm sure with some proper cutting, you'd be okay. Air Lift makes bags for the car which will run you $1000 for the set and our least expensive management is $595 for a manual setup. You're looking at $1595 (shipped if you order this month) for a full kit.

The only company that makes something for your car would be BagYard. They would be the same struts that were on Rusty, however those were modified a couple of times to make the car sit that low. It will take anywhere from one to six months to get these struts in the states because BagYard is a very small operation and they will need to be built to order.

We do! For the fronts you will have to run the Air Lift Slam Series (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/B5-A4%7B47%7DS4-AIR-LIFT-SLAM-SERIES-FRONT-STRUTS.html) (which will go up to $1,000 tomorrow) or a set up BagYards. As for the rears, you can use the RE-5 Universal Bags (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/SLAM-SPECIALTIES-RE%252d5-BAG.html) and the D-Cup bracket kit (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/D-CUP-REAR-BRACKET-KIT.html).

The only mounting plates that we have right now are the D-Cups (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/D-CUP-REAR-BRACKET-KIT.html). I'm not sure if they will work out for you but if you need some measurements and such let me know and I can get them for you.

They are $85 for a set of two so for all four corners it would be $170.

BagYard could do a setup, but we would have to send a set of spindles over to them and for a time frame you're looking at.. well, months.
The other option you could do would be to go with a full universal kit using Air Lift fronts and Universal Air rears. Custom fabbing will need to be done but e30's aren't that bad.

Unfortunately it's pretty hard to find suspensions for the 124's as I'm sure you're aware. No one makes bags for them so if you were interested, you could send me some dimensions of your coils and I can look into it and see if there is a universal bag that can work for you. Going with a universal setup is really your only option for air ride.
Rali@BagRiders
10-01-2011, 08:05 PM
About $1250.00 for all four corners, but the rear would be a universal setup so minor modifications are required to the brackets. If you don't already have aftermarket rear shocks (preferable shorter than oem) then add another $200 or so for those.

hey, don't want to waste your time with an email because I won't be able to do this for awhile,
but anyway I can get a kit for my 2012 genesis coupe? I don't want to go cheap, I'd rather save to have to most comfortable ride possible with the cleanest management system possible. I only want 2 settings. one for laying frame, and one for raising the car high enough to make it over speed bumps. that is all I care about lol.

No one really makes a setup for your car yet so your best option would be to go with a set of Air Lift universal struts. You would need to do a little customization by welding mounts on the fronts and eyelets on the rears but it's nothing too crazy if you're handy with a welder or know someone.

Do you guys have a set up for the E21?
This is really more out of curiosity than anything, but what would it take to get a w126 on air ride and hire much money is to be expected to be laid down? I don't have the money for it right now, but if you cold let me know then I know where to set my goal posts. Thanks.

No one has made a bolt on air suspension for your car so it would have to be completely custom. I would recommend going with the Air Lift universal struts which we've used on a couple of bagged BMW setups and they are really legit. As for the management, everything is universal so the only thing that really needs to be tailored to your car is the suspension itself. If you do want to go down this route, you can shoot me an email and we can figure out some measurements and which struts would work best for your application!

There are a couple of guys out there who have done it with Air House 2 bags on all four corners but the trickiest part (which isn't too bad) is the brackets for the bags. The brackets would have to be custom made but once you have those done, it's a pretty straightforward install. I really can't give you a quote as to how much the brackets will cost but if you can do it yourself or have a friend who can help, they are very simple. As for the bags, the Air House 2's (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/AIR-HOUSE-2.html) are what you'll need, then you'd just have to figure out what Management (http://bagriders.com/modlab/categories/MANAGEMENT/MANAGEMENT-PACKS/) you want.

We do have kits for the J31! The suspension is going to be from Air Force and depending on what management you're planning on going with, you're looking at a full kit starting out at $2,595 (Manual Management (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/4-WAY-MANUAL-MANAGEMENT-PACKAGE.html)) without a power supply and shipping. If you're interested in the Analog Management (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products/ANALOG-MANAGEMENT-PACKAGE.html) (this months deal) it would be $2,865.

What's the biggest difference between the two?
The main difference is the valves. The manual will use 4 paddle valves that control each corner of the car while the analog will use a VU4 manifold paired with a 7 switch, switch box. The switch box will allow you to control each corner, fronts together, rears together, or all four conners with the touch of one button. The manual only comes with 1/4" air line while the analog will come with either 1/4", 3/8", or 1/2" air line.
