I stopped reading when money came up. A stanceworks car has more money in suspension wheels and mods then most of those clowns and the csl reps and CF hood they call modding. This is part of the reason i sold my bimmer....I ***** the guys with e36's thinking they were ballin and the kids with e46's thinking csl reps were hot wheels to rock and once everyone had them they started doing that time attack bullshit.
Fuck em! I always said that if your getting long threads with people going back and forth on the topic then you are doing it correctly.

everytime I visit the bf.c and browse around the e34 section and the r&s section, i wonder why I did. It is just a bunch of closed minded douches. Granted that a very common phrase around here is "go lower", I still find it very rare that there are drama filled arguments or personal slams. so glad for SW. I find it funny how many people are legitimately offended by it.

What is StanceWorks?
Its a website for people interested in how cars look over how they perform. This is our opinion. You may disagree with us, but who really cares? If you're letting that get your panties in a bunch, you need to get real. Cars are cars, we all have them for different reasons.

Your comments about being cheap, fake wheels, etc... You couldn't be more wrong.
Most of us **** replica wheels. You obviously don't know who I am, because if you did, part of my reputation is for an utter distaste in replica wheels.
As for being cheap, my wheel collection out-values every mod on your car. Why? Its what I like to do. You like superchargers. I like wheels.
Why does that mean we can't be cool with each other?
Its attitudes like yours which lead to the creation of StanceWorks. We used to hang out on bimmerforums as a "clique"; however, people like you just kept shitting and shitting on every thread.
Do you have something to prove? Because if not, chill out a bit and realize its all personal taste. No one is asking you to like, or approve, of what we've done to our cars.... but no need for the bashing and making yourself look like a fool.
And for what its worth, the **** talking about us... You really, really need to know what you're **** talking before you do it.

If you're not as stupid as you make yourself out to be, that's an S54'd E36, with GC race-spec coilovers, GC/TMS suspension components, custom lightweight drive-line, AP headers and corsa exhaust, and more done to the motor than I want to unveil right now. Brembo BBK is on its way. The car is sitting on 255s on each corner. They're stretched, but they're there.
So please, learn something before you **** talk. While my car's tires might not "fit" the way you want and it might be a bit lower than you'd go, everything else about it falls in to your "nice" category.

stanceworks is kids in high school or college who couldnt afford proper suspension or mods so they put fake wheels on their cars, cut their springs, and instead of having a proper alignment done they just set the camber all the way to as far negative as it will go, followed by turning around and trying to say its cool.
o i forgot to add that they also purchase tires in smaller sizes because the right sizes cost extra money, so skinnier tires are cheaper.

I like how people say that we jumped on a bandwagon, but I've been hearing the same tired, old arguments from the "function over form" bandwagon forever, and it's all assumptions like that stretched tires will kill you, and hard suspension ruins the car...

I like to think that this is a pretty diverse forum. There's bimmers, and veedubs, and hondas, and subarus, and benzs, and audis, and nissans, and fords, and pretty much everything else. We have static suspensions and air setups and people that haven't modded their car yet. We don't **** on each other like on other boards, even if members aren't fans of a brand or model, they usually express how they like "this one" or accept the "to each his own" philosophy. I rarely see negative comments here, and if a car isn't stanced hard, then the comments are usually constructive criticism like "needs spacers" or "needs more low" which is expected when a site has a mantra like "Low Is A Lifestyle"...

e46f reallllly makes me not even want a BMW anymore. I love the cars to death, but the stereotype I get from driving one is ridiculous. My car isn't the "nicest" car out there, but at least I paid for it. A 17 year old paying for his own car after almost a year and a half of working and saving. Most people would say I'm rich for having one, but you cant tell that to a guy who is getting evicted from his house due to his mother losing her job can you? I've considered going with cheaper wheels, or not the best coilovers, because I plain cant afford it. just because someone does something the cheaper way, doesn't make the "wrong" IMHO. If people think my car is so wrong because I cant afford the better parts, feel free to Paypal me the money to do it the "right way".

It's a Rauh Welt built rwd turbo. I believe it's based on a 930 or a 964/965.
Don't really know that much more since the Rauh Welt website was only in japanese last time I checked...

It was built by Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB), owned by Nakai San. They're in japan and they build track oriented Porsches, typically 930's and 964's. He started out building AE86 drift cars on a team called Rough World and he coined the "offset is everything" motto. Hes basically responsible for that whole scene, zipties holding shit together, all that stuff. True OG

I didn't post in that thread and I am only posting in this thread as a word of advice being one of the older guys on this forum.
By making the thread over there umpteen pages long and having this one nearing 4 pages, it validates that you actually care what they are saying. It's hard to ignore because as car enthusiasts, (not purists and not stanceworks and not boyracers) just plain old car enthusiasts we typically put a lot of passion and effort into our cars. They don't get it, they don't want to get it, and they will never get it. Leave it alone, they are doing it to watch you squirm.
If you are in the forest crying for help and nobody hears you for days and days, eventually you will die. So will their threads.

Every person i have seen post in this forum has nothing but positive things to say and positive criticism. If someone doesnt liek your car, they will tell you, but not in an elitest kind of way. I just dont get it sometimes. We are all car enthusiasts at heart, bimmers, vw's, jdm, etc...People should be uniting on this shit, instead of bein dicks about it. Obviously this is the internet, there will be people like that and there really isnt anytihng we can do about it. Yes, they get annoying, but thats usually the aspiring wannabe purists who are idiots or complete tools. The real purists usually at least know there shit and can build a mean car, as well as provide a knowledge base for when shit does go wrong on your car. The e30 scene is nice, I LOVED e30tech when I have my e30, everyone there was so kind and willing to help for the most part. I personally haven't had as good of a time in the e46 world, but either way I loved my car despite what others same about it.

o i forgot to add that they also purchase tires in smaller sizes because the right sizes cost extra money, so skinnier tires are cheaper.
