Plans:

- get claws on some lowering blocks or consult the father for a spot of relocation.
-Wheels repaint (red.)
-Thinking PATINA. Go the VW route. Just... leave it.
(if i were offered a full respray though, I'd take it hands down, keep 'er white.)
-Get some polish on that chrome, maaan. Polish is good.

been on the road since 27th may last year, passed her MOT same time I passed my test - had it for a few months before that though, paid £450 to a man who Did Not Want it any more.
got dad to fit a new floor (and brakes and sills and all moving parts on the engine and rubber bushes and everything), passed her MOT, and off we go!

did actually have another before her.. kawasaki green 2 door that needed all the work in the world done to it. have since signed that over to dad as a personal project/spares car.

hmm, no idea.. how do the bugs get it naturally? i know theyre torsion at the rear as well, whereas i get leafs.
either way, naturally or not, pretty sure some camber is in order.

vectoring the pinstriping now, got a friend who does stickers. can settle for vinyl until I can do/afford the real deal. She's called Rose, so will aim for some kind of Rose motif.

sadly on thursday she had a minor breakdown, ignition coil shorting itself out, i've clamped it back together and she's gone to dad's for a replacement, wasn't gonna risk the long journey on a shorting coil!

plus I fly to madrid at 5am tomorrow ;D

on the floor seems to be the last thing at the moment, dynamo replaced, needs new tyres, new back brakes went on last week.
hopefully winding the front down ASAP, as its easter holidays - can't put her too low due to goddamn new speedbumps on the way to my street at home. =/ they're HUGE.

Thanks man - you do have these cars in the states! They're very rare now, but US export was the sole reason they moved the headlights higher up out of the grille onto the fenders. I know there's a good few up north and I've heard of some woodies in california... Trabants on the other hand I have no idea about. Not really partial to them, give me an Oxford any day.

Oh, while I'm here - I got some new chrome for her yesterday and as soon as the rover is out of the garage, Mog is going in. Back is going down first, hoping that T2D can help me out on the front suspension.

Slowly collecting parts for inevitable betrayal of the classic car scene. She's going matte military white, all chrome bits polished and at least 3 inches lower. I can't go much lower than that due to exhaust/floor being monocoque and not allowed to cut n weld from original shape ;;

An A series 1098 currently. Looking into some twin Webber carbs soon//after suspension. I now have approx £370 to convert the front suspension. HURRAH first person to find a suitable kit or suggests a better way wins my.. uh.. undying respect?

garage is being cleared this week because that POS k-series imploded - then in goes the mog - we're winding down the fronts some time next week as I have time off FINALLY and can work out any kinks with ride height instead of just having to drive the thing to get me places.
will be getting lower profile tyres on the next tyre change, as this lot cost me £90 a pair and I am le poor
cherry bomb arrived the other day, we're going straight through baby.

unfortunately we're in a classic show on the 12th feb, so it either has to be finished before/rushed or between 13th of feb and 15th april.

she won't be able to sit on the floor ALAS, this is because the a-series has a low-slung sump/oil pan, however she will go lower.

i'm not a very fast progressor, and in the end its all down to a dry place, some money and some manual help - not much of which is around at all.

Today we had a fiddle about with the front suspension - rear needs new springs and front needs new rubber bushing and a damn good steam clean to get it workable. Good thing is we know where we're going now.
DOWN.
1.5 inches at first, then we'll see how we're doing.

MOT/new bushes on suspension up next, so I know its all in good working order. These things are prone to dropping hubs like flies if anything is wrong.
