  • BMW OEM roof bar wind deflector

Think this is the best place to ask.

I would PM some members, but I have no idea of the names who rock them unforunately.

Looking to get a Yakima wind deflector for my OEM BMW roof bars, I've seen it done a few times so it must be possible to retrofit them onto the bars.

Anyone point me in the direction of some threads about what size I need and any modifications it needed? 32", 38", 44" or 50".

    Oh ffs, ignore me.

Yeah, drilling wouldn't be my first choice - I'll have a play with mine on Saturday and see what I can do about it. I don't want it flying off at 60mph though.

Well I followed the diy and drilled into the roof rack and mounted the visor to the roof rack....I have it on for over 6months and no problem (highway driving and city driving) btw thats the only way to mount it on e46 roof rack

None at all, imported from the US - although you can also use a Thule 871X or something if you look on the link.

I just got stung £40 for import taxes, ordered two and have cost me about £75 each - ridic.

For some reason I don't like the Thule...
And that old model isn't produced anymore..
