  • Building Something Out Of Nothing

Today, OJ put together this great story about what can happen when you need to build a brand-new RS6's midsection with absolutely 0 materials in ~10 days in the middle of the desert.

Basically, you need to fly Craig to Doha on short notice, lugging a welder and everything else in his carry-ons and managing to not lose a single thing through customs.

Which left the two of them with half the parts they needed, one x-pipe, an RS6 and a handful of days remaining.

Plenty of pictures (and plenty of good story to read) over on the blog! I'd repost it here, but I'd like to make it home before tomorrow. Even with copy-paste, there's a lot of pictures and addresses to link over.

    Check it out!

I can't say much, we want to keep it under wraps since it's really close to completion.

All I can say is that what you've seen so far is not nearly all of what there is. We've been working our asses off in fabrication to give this thing a true 'urban assault' theme.

All that's left to do on the X5 is electrical work / powdercoating / painting, then post-paint reassembly, and we should be good to go.
