sorry about the pics, i had to send them from my phone to my computer via email and it wont let me make them bigger. But anyways, went to a local BMW junk yard (Strictly German) and picked one up for a good price. So what happened was, I was going around a right turn and i felt something break, car got real loose and alost put me in the ditch. Got the car straightend out and made it to my driveway, which is pretty steep, tried pulling into the driveway which put most of the stress on that broken side and when i did the part broke the rest of the way. And then of course i had to fix this in the damn rain. But all is good now and just waiting for xmas to come for some more goodies.

didnt even hit a pot hole lol. was just making a slight right hand turn and felt something break. im very happy that i was only driving about 45 mph when it happened, even though i always have to hear the g/f saying "drive faster drive faster" its called low and slow for a reason

yea kinda scary huh. im thinkin that it may have possibly been slightly cracked or stressed before it actually broke. thats my guess b/c the turn wasnt even sharp at all. iv heard of these things bending but iv never heard of one snapping. i may take them both off and weld some plates on them to make them stronger. There super flimsy

Maybe the rear trail arm bushing went out? I know its sort of a common problem for e46's
