I wouldnt go with the bag yards way too much for what you get, there are some georgeous b6 audis running bag overs I would go that route if I were you way more bang for your buck

yes universal air strut overs or often referred to as bag overs......way cheaper route than bagyards

Ok and did you notch your towers or at least see if thats what's holding you up?
cheaper isn't necessarily better, but to each his own.

Nothing needs to be notched, control arms are not touching.
OP, I would not do bags over coils.

ive been running bag overs for over 3 years now never had any issues and it seems like your having plenty of issues with your $1200 front struts vs $300 bag overs

ok. I don't think this needs to be handled any further via the forum. I will be in touch via email.

i've got bagyards on my c5 S6 with custom lengths. bagging a C5 isn't as tough as people like to think. there are some mods to the top hat that attaches the strut to the upper mount that you need to do to get it lower in the front and a few other things that can be done but notching or cutting isn't necessary.
"bag overs" or whatever isn't at all what i'd do for a c5 audi. that sounds like you'd wind up with a strut that's way too tall.
if you can wait till march air lift is supposed to be coming out with some audi specific kits that will rival bag yard in quality, price, lowness...etc. and the C5 platform is one of them.
*edit the control arms do in fact lay against the fender well when aired out, hell mine used to smash the inner fender when i just had coilovers, now they have sort of clearenced themselves a little but yes they do rest in the upper fender well. cutting a hole for the control arms will make extra room but i don't think it's necessary.

Custom lengths? Since you have supremes, you must have the normal US length.

Oh, really? So they've started using Bilstein struts as the basis for their air ride? Please don't compare apples and oranges it's offensive. .
