I started out buying my '94 325is in addition to my SRT-4 as a daily driver.

It was a damn albino, so new trim pieces were the first on the list. It now looks like this. Much better!

Well, after driving the car around for a few months, I fell in love. That's when I decided it was time to sell the SRT and focus my attention on the E36. As luck would have it, I have a good friend who had a totalled '97 Shrick'd M3 sitting in his garage. After a few talks, it was decided it would be a PERFECT donor car for my lil 2.5. Soon after I bought the donor, the full interior swap was under way!
Good bye nasty dove...

That's unfortunately only as far as I've gotten. I've been a little distracted with my side project that I bought three days before I sold my SRT.:devillook:alright
From this...

You should have pulled the turbo, kept it, sold the SRT as a Neon, and used the boost for ... other things :devillook

Why use that little turbo when you can... well. ;)

Yeah, Plasti-Dip rules. The bumpers are also "Lipo'd" a good 3 inches so they're no longer diving platforms.

Swap is unfortunately at the same place it was before. :( HowEVER, I've decided it's finally time to refocus and get things rolling. Just bought some 24# injectors!

Ya, they aren't bad at all after being painted. Looked HORRIBLE before though.:rofl Damn balloon tires suck. They've still got plenty of tread though, so for now they'll do.

TRXs are stock metric E28 wheels. I'll have another update for the E28 tomorrow. It'll be interesting...haha. The E36 swap is pending the laundry list of parts I need to put together.

Did some more work, while bored....aaaat work. All along I was planning on swapping all the suspension and steering components from the M to the non-M, one piece at a time. Today, I came downstairs from my office, took a look out in the parking lot, and thought, "why the hell would I do something so silly?"

So today I dropped the entire front sub frame with steering, control arms, shocks and springs(M only since the non-M already didnt have these on), tie rods, brakes, etc, off both cars. I did the sway bars too, but not attached to everything. Then, rather obvious in the pictures, all the M stuff went on to the non-M car. One step further on the swap!

Also, my Broadway Static coils should be here soon. They will go on after the swap. Getting the car on jacks or on a lift is much easier with the stock M stuff. :D

The stock e36 front assembly.

The M stuff all installed. (Brake fluid EVERYWHERE, lol)

:rofl :rofl Not rude at all. I joke with my friends all the time saying, "Just another 3 years until it's done!"

Unfortunately the e28 had some rust I didnt know about and the rear diff "wishbone" rusted through where its mounted to the body. It's waiting patiently, oxidizing more and more until I finish the e36. I do however have an air setup for the front waiting to be installed, so that'll be cool.

Suppose I should update this. STILL no stance(Broadways are sitting in their box at SeanDubs house), but tons of parts were ordered. Almost all replacement parts since everything is FAR easier to change out with the motor and trans on a pallet. Got a Mishimoto aluminum radiator though, so I wont have to worry about replacing that in 2 years like a stock plastic one.

I finally split the motor and transmission to replace the clutch and flywheel. I'm excited to see how the 11.5lb UUC flywheel compares to the fucking anchor of a stock flywheel. Here's a picture in the middle of the process.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/1-2_zpsc36d55af.jpg

Then I thought UUC sent me the wrong pressure plate(ordered 2.5 years ago), but after some forum reading, I realized the M5 clutch disc is supposed to be mounted backwards to fit.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/2-2_zps954aed27.jpg

Back together with the trans cleaned up a bit. Also installed the Bimmerworld coolant pipe adapter(not pictured) which was an amazingly nice part. Couldn't have fit better.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/3-2_zps859d9353.jpg

Swapping over the OBD1 valve cover, I got to take a peek at the Schrick cams. Well, one of them anyway. :D

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/4-1_zpsc51d904a.jpg

After swapping over more of the OBD1 sensors and random little bits from the M50, the motor went in to its new home!!

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/5-1_zps699815f7.jpg

Then I made this nifty(yes, I said nifty) 3 in one picture showing the ebay long tubes in, steering reconnected, and the shifter installed.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/6-1_zps54564046.jpg

And that pretty much brings us up to today. Didn't get any further on the motor because I had to order new knock sensors. The old ones were cracked and crumbling. Can't see the difference can you? Oh...right.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/7-1_zps8744dbe0.jpg

Progress is good!!

And now for the reasons I haven't gotten further. My wife and I adopted this 6 month old puppy advertised as fully potty trained! Ya, she wasn't even close to potty trained, but oh well.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/7b_zpsca50c257.jpg

And the other distraction. :D :D :D

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b60/brodgsr/7c_zpsa1738c47.jpg

Hopefully updating this again very soon.
