Recently a few of my buddies and I have been talking about how most cars just need the right wheels and a drop… Those two things alone can completely change the look of a car and really help make it your own. Other little cosmetic and performance modifications can come with time but at the end of the day wheels make or break a car for me.

A lot of you have probably seen this xB at some point or another… whether it was Nick aka Dingo or Elmer Gog on the forums, or in S3 magazine where it was featured last year!  Nick originally purchased the car for commuting back and forth to school but once he saw what other people were doing to xB’s his vision for this car became something much different.  Before the BBS RS’s Nick started out with a few sets of wheels with weak sizing and questionable styling (didn’t we all?). It wasn’t until he ran across the bBsquad.net site and was motivated to step up his game!

“While on the site I stumbled across VWVortex and fell in love with Euro styling… I had to have a set of BBS RS’s!” Well  Nick did end up picking up a set of RS’s and of course he rebuilt them wider with some nice lips.  Well we all know wheels are nothing without a drop so he then had his friend Dan (Dancar420) help him build an air-ride kit for his HKS coilovers to really get the stance dialed in.

Over the past couple years Nick has had fun changing up the finish on his RS’s.  From a light gold w/ polished lips, to fuly polished, then all black, and more recently playing with the idea of a cream color to compliment his Camo xB.

Well he had us thinking he was going to go with the light cream color you see above on his rear wheels but what he ended up coming out with I think is even better!

I’m honestly not even sure what to call the color but I think it accents the Camo green perfectly!  I just love the versatility of splits and being able to switch up the color/finish, and in Nicks case pull off multiple different looks!
