A Whole Lada Things Done Right

piha

I wish I could share more about this car, but unfortunately, I don’t know much about it. It belongs to one of our board members, and the car is a Lada. Beyond that, there’s not much I can tell you. I could not be a slacker, and interview the guy, and write something up, but to be honest I just had to throw this thing up. I need some of this in my life.

We always want what we can’t have, and being here in America, we don’t have cars like these. There’s just something about ‘em. They may not be the greatest car ever built, but hell, I’ll still take one. It looks like a hoot.

Interior looks pretty solid to me as well. Nice buckets, and some nice trim and such has come together to really solidify this car.

Here are some more pics for viewing pleasure. I’m done BSing. :D

    That’s a Lada 2105! State-side?!

Fiat had made a deal with the Russian Government to open up a factory in Russia in 1966 & mass produce just one model, the Lada 2105 based on the Italian Fiat 124.

Nope, this car isn’t state-side. :( If it were, I’d hunt the owner down and take it! :D

Happy to see finnish car on frontpage, even so that the owner lives nearby..

It’s 2107 (which is updated 2105). 2107 has 1.6 liter engine, different grill, and taillights. It looks very similar to 2105 though.

White on white is always a WIN in my book. Cool little car. I lived in Brazil, they’ve got some cool, different cars (like the Brasilia and lots of little Fiat hatchbacks). Anyway, looks like 14 or 15 inch wheels? Rear wheel drive right?
