It was nearly two years ago that I encountered Harry Yeaggy’s 1967 Ferrari 412 P Competitzione at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The brief article that followed showcased imagery I captured of the incredible machine, and in a few concise words, I expressed that it very well may be the most beautiful machine I’ve ever seen. “It’s neither a favorite nor preference; cars of the 60s often fail to captivate me in ways cars of later eras seem to. I can say though, with utmost confidence, that it is perhaps the most beautiful car I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to see. Its lines are one-of-a-kind, and its form, graceful and poised, unlike any machine I’ve seen before or since.” Two years later, my feelings haven’t changed. In fact, those feelings are reinforced by the recent discovery of a once-thought-lost set of photos, several of which included details of the 412 P I regretfully was unable to include in 2017. Now, I’m excited to return to this incredible piece of craftsmanship with a few more images to share.
