What we have here is a special report. I say “special” because apart from being a worldwide premiere, this project (despite being well known in the scene) is being presented for the first time in the media, and is the beginning of close collaboration between Konzept: Euro and Stance|Works.
The Stance|Works crew had a particular affinity for this car. Seems like they weren’t alone, as the American response has been strong for the few pictures that have been released of this project.
This collaboration isn’t about just any project. Albert Alonso, owner and creator of Art99erformance, based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), felt challenged to bring two concepts together: Family hauler with Track heritage appeal. The result was a BMW E91 335i Touring in M3 skin.
A directory of car parts and components to make the car original were all purchased at a BMW dealer. The front end was redone including front bumper, grille, intermittent fins, hood and headlights. From there the fenders, side skirts, and the rear bumper from the M3 sedan were subsequently modified to mount to the wagon.
Art99erformance is the official Rotiform importer for Spain, so it was a natural choice to get Brian and Jason involved in the build. Rotiform BLQ Super-Concave wheels were chosen in 20×9.5 for the front and 20×11 in rear. Albert went with Anthracite gloss lips, satin faces and bright red center caps to finish the wheels off.
The various pictures that have hit the internet, have lead many to believe the car is on air ride. Despite popular belief, the E91 is on KW Variant 1 adjustable suspension which, together with traditional stainless steel exhaust finish off the original M3 look temporarily. The car is set for now with the intention of being at the Konzept:Euro Meet & Greet Round 1 to be celebrated the first weekend in December. Major changes are planned for the interior with Recaro Sportster CS and full upholstery, original mirrors M3 and reprogramming.
