Final Details and Questions answered for 512

by Ben Terry

Alright folks… whose ready for 512? I have been getting a lot of questions and wanted to take a moment to answer them for everyone:

1) Can I bring my children to the event?

Absolutely! Children 10 and younger will get in for free. We want this to be a family event where people aren’t hindered to come be a part of the fun. No scantily clad women, no hardcore rap music… just good ol’ wholesome fun. EVERYONE is welcome to come spectate!

2) When do the gates open for spectators and how much does it cost?

Gates open up for general public at 1pm and the show will go to 7pm. Cost is $10 at the gate. Please bring CA$H! We will not have a way of taking credit cards.

3) When is roll in?

Roll in for registered cars starts at 9am – noon. We DO NOT want to be positioning cars past noon. There is no bad spot on this track, but if you want to not be at the end of the track I suggest you show up early. It will make it a lot easier and more enjoyable for us as volunteers and we would really appreciate it.

4) What do I need to show at the gate?

Please print out a copy of your paypal confirmation to show that you have paid. If you do not have this, we will expect $35 cash at the gate. Please do not show up without a receipt saying you paid. It will be assumed you have not without it.

Also, you MUST print out a liability waiver… this is very important. Please go to www.512project.com/thank-you and print off a liability waiver… fill it out and bring it with you. You HAVE to have one filled out in order to park on the track.

5) Can we BBQ at the event?

The answer to this is yes. You can bring a small grille and cookout no problem. We do have one of Austin’s best catering trucks coming out, which I will give the details to shortly, but you can bring your own setup. We want people to enjoy the environment and this be more of a “tailgating party” then a typical “car show.” This is about people getting to know people and we want to promote a welcoming atmosophere.

6) If registration is closed and I think my car should be in the show, can I still get in?

E-mail me via Ben at Stanceworks dot com, and we will see what we can do. No promises to anyone at this point. We have had registration open for a very long time to insure everyone has had an opportunity to do so. Get me your info and pics of your car ASAP if you are still wanting to be in the show.

7) If we leave the track in any condition other then when we arrived, will we ever been welcome back?

NO. Please everyone treat this place as the anamoly that it is. This is a beatiful course and DriveWayAustin has been extremely gracious to host us. As car enthusiasts, I would hope we treat this place like sacred ground and be very thoughtful in our actions. Not ONE piece of TRASH should be left behind. We will need your help to make this happen. If you can’t find a trash can, throw it back in your car. We will do our best to make disposal of trash convenient for everyone but take it on yourself to insure this place is left the way we found it.

If I decide to act like I’m 15 and do something stupid in any way, will I get kicked out of the event?

You can bet wheels, you will. There will be a zero toleration for anyone feeling the need to prove anything… behind the wheel, with someone else.. I mean anything. Come with a mindset to relax, have some fun, and meet some new people and it will be one of the more memorable car events you have been to. Don’t, and we will expedite the removal of your person / car.

LASTLY

There will be a TON of media there, and some very established photographers. This is the event when you want to push the extremes. If you think you are low, go lower. If you think you are pushing aggressive fitment, squeeze out 2 more mm’s. The cars pushing the limits are the cars that are gonna get shot, and the who’s who of the fitment scene are registered.

More announcements coming so check back soon!
