SOTU, Covered! Tejas Style..

by JLeveritt TL4C

As all of you know, SOTU was marked on the map for all 50 states via Internet and Word-of-Mouth. SW was represented properly by some of the best cars Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, and more had to offer. For us Texas boys though, this was THE premier event to be at. Something us “low-offset enthusiast” could go to and shoot the shit, and spread the word on the movement.

So coming from a Texas native, I thank all of you for making it out. This really was an event to remember. SOTU will be discussed amongst guys in Cali, as how we here in the South talk about Eibach or Nisei.

Now on to the goodies..

Calvins car, repping good ol’ 16NISS. Bagged and Stanced, perfect way to be.

Im not even sure who this guy is, but mayne, When I saw it roll in I couldnt help but try my best attempt to capture this beast.

…And the the mans partner in crime…

And of course, we all know this rust bucket. The legend himself, M. Burroughs.

This car stopped me dead in my tracks. I just couldnt help but admire the cleanliness and simplicity of this car.

The Swang & Bang crew are almost becoming a household name. Their 350z’s, G35′s, and 240′s are so easily noticeable on any thread in any forum. Arriving so late into the meet, its like they wanted to make a fashionably late entrance.

Oh man.. oh man. Edaphe’s car has to be one of the cleanest Z’s Ive seen in a while. He has really started to put San Antonio, TX on the map, so watch out H-Town.

Could you roll in any harder, Brand new CTS-V AND Ladies poppin’ out too. Man really knows how to show..

Clean GTI on proper sized RS’s.

Drews’ Passsat is a personal favorite of mine, he really knows how to collaborate his creativeness with cleanliness/simplicity. Everything thats done to this car was by this mans two hands. I wish I would of had a shot of the boot area, for its something to be seen.

Another fine example of proper tuck..

A good showing of 240′s came out to mingle.

Conrads very creative, and very Flush GTI.

Another clean bagged Passat wagon.

Calvins GTI has been one of my favorites lately. Ive seen his build and refinishing thread on his RS’s and its detailed. I mean, these things are so clean, Id eat some meatloaf off of them.

Cool to see an NC Miata out on some BBS’s.

VW’s again, be repped all over this meet. But, I have nothing but love for my V-Dubs.

Mikes Lex, this Guy! haha, Mike is awesome, and so is his car. This man is definitely a wheel whore. Ive seen him go through so many different sets. Its just unbelievable. If only he kept that sweet ass ITR around, that thing would be a creeper on every forum.

E30 M3′s are rare to find, but to see one in such amazing condition, is harder. This car, fine example of keeping a classic, as close to roots as possible with introducing a modern day flair.

FD RX-7+Work Meisters+LS1 swap=Secks

Raining sexy RX-7′s..

I drool every time I see BBS LM’s. Even more so when they’re on an Audi A3.

Just A few shots of the crowd that conjured up at this meet:

M. Burroughs showing off that twin turbo setup..
